Musically Frustrated
Friday August 08, 2008
So, at some point in life I want to become a producer. Not just a random one, but a famous one, with my own style versus everyone else who chooses to do what's cool at the time. I feel I can create what would be hot. So all I tend to meet in my journey to that place is the total opposite people. Just the other day this guy saw me working on some music (choral music might I add) and asked me if I liked to do R&B tracks and I was like ummm yea. And he wanted me to work with him and this girl he's trying to develop cause he's not good with R&B stuff so I'm like ok whatever. I gave him my number to be nice. I see him today and he was saying he was gonna get with the girl next week. So he then tells me that the girl is really into that new sound that's out right now. Like Crunk & B he said. I'm thinking in my head are you serious?!? Obviously the girl can't sing, if that's what you automatically wanna go in, a form of singing that's not really good. So I give up. I'm sorry people, but folks down south can be so close-minded when it comes to music sometimes. I don't think anyone would truly understand what I'm trying to do. Basically I don't take anybody down here seriously when they're working on their so-called music career. Most people with record deals don't really have any talent, so I guess everyone thinks they can do that. But don't worry people, one day I'm gonna make it ok to listen to the radio again. So get ready...
