Should I buy a motorcycle?

everytime i talk about getting a motorcycle to my friends, and they all say it's too dangerous. well to me it's just as safe as driving a car if you know to how ride it right. I think it's really cool to ride motorcycle 'cuz i don't want to regret when i get old and have never ride one. yeah i know riding is dangerous, but hey people die in car accidents too.
