It Takes Life To Love Life.. http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/12/06/it-takes-life-to-love-life/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/12/06/it-takes-life-to-love-life/#View-Comments Sat, 06 Dec 2008 00:10:36 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3298
During last deployment I think is what did it for me.  It wan’t for when I was being shot at by the enemy.  I think it was when I was wounded in action.  For what the Doctors have told me that I wasn’t supposed to live.  I felt like my world had changed in less then 2 seconds.

Then I had to be brought I WRAMC to have surgery on my right hear.  I had no ear drum left.  Today I now wear a hearing aide because of this.  For what had happen I am not going to tell you.  It’s not really meant for civilian ears to hear.

When I returned back to Afghanistan, 2 days later I recieved a message from the American Red Cross.  I was need to come home due to my mother being rushed to the hospital and was not expected to make it.  My commanding officer had already started the paper to get me back to the The U.S..  When I read my letter, I still wasn’t taking it seriously.  My commanding officer handed me the phone to call the hospital.  The hospital tried telling me to call back later; until I told them where I was calling from.  That is when they were obiligate to put me through to my mother.  This I kid you not was the last time I heard my mother voice.  She could hear my voice but she could not understand me.

After this i spoke to my father.  I asked him if I was needed home.  He cried in my ear and said that he wanted me home as soon as possible.  I told hime that i was on my way.  It took me about 3 days to touch down in the U.S.. I could not sleep during the whole trip.  When I finally came back to the U.S., I called my father.  I told him that I would come home now but I didn’t want to risk getting into an accident during a 6 hour drive.  My father told me to go and get my sleep.  The next morning my one sister calls me to make sure that I was going to bring my military uniform with me.  That’s when she told me that my mother didn’t make it.

I was mad, hurt and upset all at the same time.  My rear dettachment was trying to help me out as much as possible.

Ever since then life has not been the same for me.  I know that my mother forgives me for what happened.  I also think about what she would of want from me.  And that’s to simple be a good person as she had raised me to be and be happy.

Like I said, It take life to love life.]]>

WHY IS OUR NATION SO STRONG? http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/12/05/why-is-our-nation-so-strong-2/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/12/05/why-is-our-nation-so-strong-2/#View-Comments Fri, 05 Dec 2008 23:46:27 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3295
When the U.S.Military stepped in along with many other allied nations, They thought they would have to adapt to American culture. Supprizingly they seen that the Americans respected their culture but didn’t why until they seen that U.S. in made up of many different cultures.

They said to me that, that is why the U.S. is so strong. One South Korean told me of a song that was made during this war. He tried to sing the whole thing in english but wasn’t able to becasue it’s such a sad song. But for what he sung went like this.

It is cold and snowing,
the North Koreans are attacking and we have no place to go,
It feels too cold to move towards south to get away from them,
But we have to try even if it mean to die,
Oh god please let them not take our freedom,
Oh god please not let take our country,

He also told me that he remembers his mother and father trying to hide them, it was a horrible time he said.]]>

Please Where Blue To Support The Troops...... http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/please-where-blue-to-support-the-troops/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/please-where-blue-to-support-the-troops/#View-Comments Fri, 28 Nov 2008 14:02:11 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3185

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday — and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something blue. By word of mouth, press, TV — let’s make the United States on every Friday a sea of blue much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in BLUE and it will let our troops know the once ’silent’ majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on. The first thing a soldier says when asked ‘What can we do to make things better for you?’ is: ‘We need your support and your prayers.’ Let’s get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something blue every Friday.

Barack Obama vs. U.S. Military http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/barack-obama-vs-us-military/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/barack-obama-vs-us-military/#View-Comments Fri, 28 Nov 2008 13:09:13 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3183 We already know that he is planning on cutting funding to the U.S. Military.  This also means down sizing the military as well.  This is something that can not happen right now.  Especially of the situation going on with the war on terrorism.  We have troops in Iraq.  Right now the U.S. DoD just swiched everyones deployements orders around to instead of sending the majority of our troops to Iraq, they are sending them to Afghanistan instead, the forgotten war of our time right now.

Yes, Afghanistan IS the Vietman of our time.  Meaning it IS trully the forgotten war right now.  Everyone assumes that we are all rotating in and out of Iraq.  No, that is not true.  Trust me I know.  I was deployed to Afghanistan already.  When we came back, people acted like we didn’t do anything for our country.  Instead of people thanking us, they treated us like dirt.  Meaning like we were not shot at or anything like that.  And still right now as we speak we are still being treated like that.

Well now this nation realizes that yes there are situations going on in Afghanistan too!  It’s not just Iraq it never was just Iraq.  It was just forgotten by our on people!

Also another factor is that Obama wants to raise taxes so he can do more spending with our money.  Do you really want this?

I fear that if Obama gets elected, an unexperienced canidate, this country will be in great recession and maybe never coming out of it for a very long time.

Please do not vote for Obama so he becomes the first black President of The United States.  Please leave race out of this.  When you do vote, just think of what I wrote here.  That’s all I’m asking.

By the way, here is a video of Obama’s true colors in action.  Observe that Obama refuses to solute by placing his right hand over his heart during the national anthem is being played.  All the others are doing it.  And he’s our President Now?!?!?!?

A True Story About Obama.... http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/a-true-story-about-obama/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/a-true-story-about-obama/#View-Comments Fri, 28 Nov 2008 12:54:14 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3180 Obama went over to Afghanistan to visit.  The troops that knew he was coming and supported him during the election came to see his arrival over there.  When he came down the step from his flight, all the troops were waving at him.  Obama did NOT waive back.  Nor did he acknowledge that they were there.

Obama went to go play basketball with the commanding officer instead.

When Obama was about to aboard his flight again to leave, all his supporting troops gave him a second chance to acknowledge them.  So they started waving at him again.  AGAIN Obama did not acknowledge them at all.  He just aborded his flight and left.

Now how do I KNOW THIS YOU ASK?  Simple, I am a trooper myself.  I do have friends over there too.  My one buddy wishes he never was elected now because his true color shown that day.

A POEM TO A SOLDER, A DIFFERENT CHRISTMAS STORY, Author Unkown http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/a-poem-to-a-solder-a-different-christmas-story-author-unkown/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/a-poem-to-a-solder-a-different-christmas-story-author-unkown/#View-Comments Fri, 28 Nov 2008 10:45:23 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3176 I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
my daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree, I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded b\y love I would sleep
in perfect contentment, or so it would seem.
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn’t loud, and it wasn’t too near,
But I opened my eye when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn’t quite know,
Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
and I crept to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old
Perhaps a Soldier, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

"What are you doing?" I asked without fear
"Come in this moment, it’s freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeves,
you should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!"

For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts,
to the window that danced with a warm fire’s light
then he sighed and he said "Its really all right,
I’m out here by choice. I’m here every night"

"It’s my duty to stand at the front of the line,
that separates you from the darkest of times.
No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I’m proud to stand here like my fathers before me.

My Gramps died at ‘Pearl on a day in December."
then he sighed, "That’s a Christmas Gram always remembers."
My dad stood his watch in the jungle of ‘Nam
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.

I’ve not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he’s sure git her smile.
Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red white and blue…an American Flag.

"I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home,
I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat,
I can carry the weight of killing another
or lay down my life with my sisters and brothers
who stand at the front against any and all,
to insure for all time that this flag will not fall."

"So go back inside, "he said, "harbor no fright
Your family is waiting and I’ll be all right."
"But isn’t there something I can do, at the least,
"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you’ve done,
For being away from your wife and your son."

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget
To fight for our rights back at home while we’re gone.
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,
to know you remember we fought and we bled
is payment enough to you as you mattered to us.]]>

THE DAUGHTER OF A SOLDIER, Author Unkown http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/the-daughter-of-a-soldier-author-unkown/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/the-daughter-of-a-soldier-author-unkown/#View-Comments Fri, 28 Nov 2008 10:36:49 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3173
Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camo’s, as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering. When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for it hit me. I’m not alone. I’m not the only red blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families.

Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the lines everyday for us so we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal. Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said "hi," the little girl then she asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her. The young soldier, he didn’t look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give her daddy. Then suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughters name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Marine and had been in Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her daughter, Courtney, missed her father, the situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie. They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said to her, "I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you. "He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying "your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon."

The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to this to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event unfolded. As the soldiers began to leave, heading tpowards their gate, people resumed their applause.

As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in one last act of selflessness turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it’s good to be an American.]]>

HER DADDY, Author Unkown http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/her-daddy-author-unkown/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/her-daddy-author-unkown/#View-Comments Fri, 28 Nov 2008 09:18:44 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3169
But her mommy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone.

But the girl went to school, eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees, a dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats. One by one the teacher called, a student from the class. To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name, every child turned to share. Each of them were searching, for a man who wasn’t there.

"Where’s her daddy at?" she heard a boy call out. "She probably doesn’t have one," another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back, she heard a daddy say. "Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day."

The words did not offend her, as she smiled at her friends. And looked back at her teacher, who told her to beign.

And with hands behind her back, slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique.

My Daddy couldn’t be here, because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be with me on this day.

And though you cannot meet him, I want you to know. All about my daddy, and how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories, he taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, and taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him, I’m not standing all alone.

‘Cause my daddy’s always with me, even though we are apart I know because he told me, he’ll forever be in my heart"

And from somewhere in the crow of dads, her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, but its message clear and loud.

"I love my daddy ver much, he’s my shining star, and if he could he’d be here, but heaven’s just too far,

But sometimes when I close my eyes, it’s like he never went away." And then she closed her eyes. and saw him there that day.

And to her mother’s amazement, she witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side.

"I know you’re with me Daddy," to the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, of those once filled with doubt.

Not on in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been closed. But there placed on her desktop, was a beautiful fragrant pink rose.

And a child was blessed, if only a moment, by the love of her shining bright star. And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far.]]>

Taps http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/taps/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/28/taps/#View-Comments Fri, 28 Nov 2008 09:08:30 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=3167

We in The United States have all heard the haunting song "Taps." It’s the song that gives us that lump in our throats and usually tears in our eyes.

But, do you know the story behind the song? If not, I think you will be interested to find out about its humble beginning. Reportedly, it all began in 1862 during the Civil War when Union Army Captain Robert Ellicombe was with his men near Harrison’s Landing in Virginia. The Confederate Army was on the other side of the narrow strip of land. During the strip, Captain Ellicombe heard the moans of a soldier who lay severely wounded on the field. Not knowing if it was a Union or Confederate soldier, the Captain decided to risk his life and bring the man back for medical attention. Crawling on his stomach through the gunfire, the Captain reached the wounded soldier and began pulling him toward his encampment. When the Captain finally reached his own line, he discovered it was actually a Confederate soldier, but the soldier was dead. The Captain lit a lantern and suddenly caught his breath and went numb with shock. In the dim light, he saw the face of the soldier. It was his own son. The boy had been studying music in the South when the war broke out. Without telling his father, the boy enlisted in the Confederate Army. The following morning, heartbroken, the father asked permission of his superiors to give his son a full military burial, despite hie enemy status. His request was only partially granted. The Captain had asked if he could have a group a Army band members play at the funeral dirge for his son at the funeral. The request turned down since the soldier was a Confederate. But out of respect for the father, they did say they could him only one musician. The Captain chose a bugler. He asked the bugler to play a series of musical notes he had found on a piece of paper in the pocket of the dead youth’s uniform. The wish was granted. The haunting melody, we now know a "Taps" used at military funerals, was born.

The words are:

Day is done…Gone the sun…From the lakes…From the hills…From the sky…All is well…Safely rest…God is nigh…

Fading light…Dims the sight…And a star…Gems the sky…Gleaming bright… From afar… Drawing nigh…Falls the night.

Thanks and praise…For our days…Neath the sun…Neath the Stars…Neath the sky…As we go… This we know…

God is nigh.

REMEMBER THOSE LOST AND HARMED WHILE SERVING THEIR COUNTRY. And also those presently serving in the Armed Forces

Being The First "Black" President Is Not A Factor! http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/11/being-the-first-black-president-is-not-a-factor/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/11/being-the-first-black-president-is-not-a-factor/#View-Comments Tue, 11 Nov 2008 15:00:25 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=2786 We do not need a first black president.  What WE NEED is a president, so everybody needs to get over this whole concept of having the "first black president."  When you are put in this spot to be the President of The U.S., your race is not a factor.

My reason for mentioning this is there’s a lot of people; black and white and asian and corribean and so on who are SO happy to have the first "black" president of the U.S..  Well, if he is going to be the first "black" president of the U.S. than he is presenting the wrong country.  We need a "President"

An amendment to this blog,

I think I am miss understood to this blog.  For what I am talking about is simply this.  When I’m at work, I address people according to their rank.  If they are civilian, comissioned or warrented, I address them as "sir" or ma’am.

With this being said, the person’s race is not looked at.  Race should not be looked at.  What should be looked at if the person is right for the job.  This is what I am talking about.  Get over the race part of this whole ordeal.  If you voted for him to be the next "President"  that’s good.  If you voted for him to be the "first black president," than you really need to check yourself.

Point of View From U.S. Soldier That I know http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/point-of-view-from-us-soldier-that-i-know/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/point-of-view-from-us-soldier-that-i-know/#View-Comments Mon, 10 Nov 2008 21:31:45 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=2777 You know that every other soldier I have spoke with is trying to figure out how Obama won this election.  They are honestly afraid of the out come.  I simply say to them that the people of this nation have spoken under the believe from what Obama has preached.  They don’t believe a word of what he says.

For one thing they wanted to go back to Afghanistan to help and fight back.  They also know that in history, they only had the support of republicans.  This does not make sense to them.  Now me being a soldier myself, I feel the same way.

When I was at WRAMC, it was only republicans who ever came to visit or to give us thing that we needed.  Free Republic did the same.  Code Pink would be outside the gate of WRAMC protecting the war but saying they were for the troops.  But they never came to talk to us.  As a matter of fact.  They blew us off…  I have NEVER seen a democrat offering anything or even talking to the troops.

Now with this being said, Regardless if you are Republican or Democrat.  To each is own.  I am just simply stating fact.  Believe it if you want.  Or don’t believe it at all.

The Honorable Donald Rumsfeld on the 11 Sept 2001 http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/the-honorable-donald-rumsfeld-on-the-11-sept-2001/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/the-honorable-donald-rumsfeld-on-the-11-sept-2001/#View-Comments Mon, 10 Nov 2008 13:38:36 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=2771 Here is something that was witnessed but never reported or talked about by anyone at all in regards to the Honorable Donald Rumsfeld.  First off I what to say that he really does not want any one to know about this because to him it is not important.  I do know he feels this any.  Just put it to you this way.  Military never fames themselves on their heroism.  They just drive on.  The Honorable Donald Runsfeld/Marine.

The day that the Pentagon was hit, everyone was at stress of course.  Secret Service was help trying to get everyone out.  Military personnel was doing the same.

When Sercet Service Finally got the Honorable Don Rumsfeld out of the Pentagon, he seen that there were people still inside that really need HELP…  So he went back in to start pulling people out.  Every time he came out with the injured people, Secret Service was trying to get him to stop so they can get him to more safety.  Rumsfeld simple just said "No I need to help them.  Come help me."  So Rumsfeld went back in.  Finally Secret Service Grabbed Rumsfeld to force him to more safety.  Rumsfeld said to them to get their hands off of him.  He also said that the next time they do that, they will be fired.  Rumsfeld after that ran back into the Pentagon to rescue more people.

Walter Reed Army Meical Center http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/walter-reed-army-meical-center/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/walter-reed-army-meical-center/#View-Comments Mon, 10 Nov 2008 09:58:10 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=2765 When I was brought to WRAMC at a patient.  I was brough because my one was gone and I had to have surgery to have it replaced.  I was coming from Afghanistan.  I was hit by a V.B.I.E.D..

I though I had it bad until I seen the other patients.  I met this one 20 year old who was hit by an I.E.D..  This took of both of his legs and half of his left arm.  He is still serving though until his contract runs out.  Until then he lives at WRAMC.  By the way, he gets 100% of his veterans disability.

Everytime the buses would come with casuatlies, first off if needed, they would be police escorted if it was during rush hour traffic.  At the time of arrival to the WRAMC hospital, the doctors would be waiting outside the hosptal already with all their equipement.  Ready to take them all in.  Meanwhile the families of the wunded would either already be there or in route still.

Anyone is welcome to visit Walter Reed Army Medical Center in DC.  Free Republic does!  They actually cheer us on all the time!  check out the Hospital when you can.

A True Story about the Honorable Commander in Chief, President George W.Bush http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/a-true-story-about-the-honorable-commander-in-chief-president-george-wbush/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/a-true-story-about-the-honorable-commander-in-chief-president-george-wbush/#View-Comments Mon, 10 Nov 2008 09:36:45 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=2764 I don’t people know this about republicans in general.  But everywhere there are wunded troops. republicans are always visiting.  If the can not visit that day, they will send their aids to give us what ever they wanted to give us that day.  Democrats were encouraged to do the same but never happened.

Now The Honorable W.Bush!  I know that people don’t know this about him but I’m going to tell you now.  Evetytime W.Bush had a chance, he would spend his time at WRAMC visiting his wunded troops.  I remember one Christmas that when he came to visit, His first stop was to visit the troops that could not the their rooms to dur to their injuries.  His second stop was to meet everyone all together.

This one was a VERY special visit though.  W. Bush has room FUL OF gifts for everyone.  Not cheap stuff either.  I am talking about DVD player bikes for the their childern, TV’s etc…   This was all out of his very own pocket too.

He also allowed the troops to shke his hnad, to hug him.  I’m telling you that W. Bush was all about us.

I don’t care what people think about W. Bush.  To us he was GREAT!!

Toby Kieth vs Troops http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/toby-kieth-vs-troops/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/11/10/toby-kieth-vs-troops/#View-Comments Mon, 10 Nov 2008 09:21:23 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=2763 IHere is an honest to god factor about Toby Kieth and why the U.S. Military loves him so much.  I went to a concert of his in Maryland with the USO/WRAMC (Walter Reed Army Medical Center).  All the troops had VIP passes to go anywhere they wanted.  Everywhere we went, Toby Kieth’s fans werev thanking us from left to right.  The bands that use follow with people like Toby Kieth were treating us like WE were the celebrities.   WOW!!!

For Toby’s oncore, he did "American Soldier" and Curiticy of the Red, White and Blue Back to back. with all of us WRAMC’s on stage.  The crowd LOVED IT!!!.  Afterwords, we all went back to Toby’s tent.  He greeted us all.  I told him that every time we came back to the FOB that we were at, we always listen to American Soldier.  This guy as the southerners like call people like him a "Big o’boy"; this guy could not hold his tears back.

When he look at us all.  Hev treated us like we were the ones that were more important.

As tired as Toby was, we all had a picture taken with him.

Now I’m not into Country Music but Toby really cares.

Another thing that Toby did was when he came to Agfhanisan to visit us, he was recommended not to go into to the more hostle areas.  He was told that it’s only the Infantry that are in these areas.  Toby went anyways.  Even if it was risking his own life.

When he cam e to see us.  It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!  He could not entertain but just him being there was enough.

Toby, if you ever read my blog on you.  Thank you for literally standing by us in action.

Answer To, "See If You Can Solve The Mystery!?!?!?!?" http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/10/27/answer-to-see-if-you-can-solve-the-mystery/ http://my.wallst.net/blog/Phillyboy/2008/10/27/answer-to-see-if-you-can-solve-the-mystery/#View-Comments Mon, 27 Oct 2008 17:21:08 EST Phillyboy http://my.wallst.net/blogs.php?blogID-RSS=2400 You, your buddy and I go to a hotel due to we are tired and we have a long drive ahead of us the next day. The hotel manager said it’s $30. for the room. So we each put in $10. and we go up to our room. The hotel manager realizes that he over charged us $5.. So he sends his bell hop to our room with the $5.

Meanwhile when the bell hop is on hia way, he decides to pocket an early $2. tip. When the bell hop arrives to the room, you answer the door. The bell hop simply explains that the hotel manager over charged us $3. So he gives you the $3.. You give a dollar to me, to your buddy and you keep a dollar. Now we each paid $9.
Now………….
3 x $9 = $27
plus $2. that the bell hop took. = $29. right?

Where did the other dollar go?

ANSWER!!!

NOT EVERYTHING IN MATH ADDS UP THE SAME…..

Another of putting it is this.

$30. you all pay

manager over charged $5. that is

$30. - $5 = $25

Bell Hop takes an early $2. tip.  This is

$25 + $2. = $27.

So when the Bell Hop Arrive at your door, you only get $3. back.  This is

$27 + $3. = $30.
