You, your buddy and I go to a hotel due to we are tired and we have a long drive ahead of us the next day. The hotel manager said it's $30. for the room. So we each put in $10. and we go up to our room. The hotel manager realizes that he over charged us $5.. So he sends his bell hop to our room with the $5.

Meanwhile when the bell hop is on hia way, he decides to pocket an early $2. tip. When the bell hop arrives to the room, you answer the door. The bell hop simply explains that the hotel manager over charged us $3. So he gives you the $3.. You give a dollar to me, to your buddy and you keep a dollar. Now we each paid $9.
Now.............
3 x $9 = $27
plus $2. that the bell hop took. = $29. right?

Where did the other dollar go?
