There is something wrong to it. If the government were to be believed, the rising costs were supposed to come down. The common man was supposed to breathe a sigh of relief. Inflation was supposed to be checked. But know what? The government has comprehensively failed again to come out with solutions. It is back to following the same old tricks of making false claims and keeping the people in a mirage.

To be blatantly honest, I think all the government officials and the so called "responsible ministers" are playing a game of hide and seek with this critical issue that concerns the working class very badly. For the love of god, will someone tell them that there are a lot of families out there who do not have the means to afford basic facilities? So now where does one place the common man to counter this peril, a man who has to go out of his way and earn to afford even the simplest things in life?

According to me, the very basic reason behind the failure of the government to fight this demon is that they have the general elections in mind which would be occurring early next year. Have they already thought of defeat? Do they know that they cannot put an end to this marauder known as Inflation? Can it be sheer lethargy that is delaying a decisive outcome? Laziness might not be an impressive alibi as what they are oblivious about is that the people are going to be equally lazy when the government starts campaigning to garner votes.

Scott-Carter Says:

Look at the money supply figures provided by the Federal Reserve of St. Louis.

Inflation is too much money chasing too few goods.  Pay attention to the M2 and M3 money supply.
