It really is all about confidence... so why after watching Paulson's press conference do I feel less confident the Gov't really can stabilize the financial system?   
Solution:
For (2) months - December and January, let's suspend Payroll Tax withholdings for the Employee AND the Employer!! This will have the effect of a pay increase for employees and help struggling business owners as well.  At least we KNOW who directly benefits, how much and for how long!  
Based on the dismal retail conditions and the major retailers reducing Q4 guidance, suspending Payroll taxes for (2) months will give a needed boost to Holiday spending and ... yes, maybe help build confidence.

During my interview today with Max Bowser, editor of The Bowser Report, I learned that Max served in the Air Force for 28 years! Our country is the greatest country in the history of mankind.... and all Americans owe our Veterans a huge debt of gratitude.  Our men and women who serve in the Military have sacrificed in ways unimaginable to the rest of us.  And let's not forget their families and their sacrifice as well. 

Despite our present financial crisis and faltering economy, we are blessed as a Nation.  Let's take a few minutes to salute our Veterans!
